Do you get the notes of pastry and vanilla as well as aromas of wild strawberry and strawberry jam? The nose is also slightly floral. Charming, don’t you think ?
Have you noticed those grenadine flavors ? On the palate, it starts out fresh and lively. The very long finish is underpinned by delicate yet assertive tannins.
Winter and spring were marked by record rainfall and fairly cool temperatures. These unusual conditions impacted the flowering and tarnished yield forecasts. Fortunately, a few weeks of dry, sunny weather from mid-July until late August was propitious to the ripening of the grapes. The harvest took place later than previous vintages, from 24 September to 8 October.
